More About Rustom

Rustom graduated as a structural engineer in July of 2022, with first class honours. Rustom’s particular interest was structural design, as well as maths based modules with a focus on the optimization of different design variables, using both Excel and Matlab.

Rustom currently works as a maths teacher at a German bilingual IB School in Medellín, Colombia, teaching maths to grades 5 and 7. He also teaches in smaller groups for students who require extra support.

Rustom has worked as an intern at a timber engineering firm in Cologne, specialized in the design of pedestrian timber bridges and hybrid concrete timber bridges. He worked on creating preliminary structural analyses using hand calculations, excel and or a FEM software, as well as drawing 3D designs.

Rustom focuses on the logic behind the problem solving process, and spends time making sure the fundamentals are understood. He can tutor high school mathematics, engineering students in first and second year engineering mathematics and civil engineering students in most subjects.
